Course Description

Continuing education and training are vital aspects of salon maintenance and of protecting clients and ourselves. The State of Florida has mandated that most salon professionals complete a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education in order to renew their licenses. This course will fulfill all 16 mandated hours, including topics pertaining to HIV/AIDS, sanitation and sterilization, OSHA, workers' compensation, state and federal laws, the chemical makeup of hair/nails/skin, and environmental issues. In addition, information regarding the impact of violence and human trafficking and exploitation in the salon/spa will be provided.
